To start with, I have Unreal Engine 5.21 (the latest to date) downloaded as set up with the necessary plugins I believe I'll be needing.
I've done a starting search for assets - and found a few free ones I think will be useful for my project to start with, on Mixamo and the Unreal Marketplace.
I've also set up a workspace on Trello for the project, with boards dedicated to Design, Research, Scrum, Sound & Documentation.
In the Trello I've put in some starting information and plans I have for the project, as well as setting up the Scrum board with the different categories (epics) and starting parts to implement for the project. As I add things to implement in the backlog, I will categorise them in their relevant epics, so I have vision over the overall progress of each aspect of the game.
The following list may change as I go along but I've broken the beginning Epics down to:
Hero
Villain
Systems
UI
Sound
Map
AI
Combat
Networking
As I continue with this, I will use this board to plan and manage what parts to implement as I develop the game.
